Curriculum Design

Our training programs are designed with culturally relevant pictorial tools, client-centered counseling techniques and clinical checklists in local languages for skilled birth attendants and health workers to effectively use in rural, remote and low-resource communities.

Our clinical modules cover the following key components:

  1. Types and causes of Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH)
  2. Use of Family and Postpartum Family Planning (PPFP)
  3. Provision of antenatal care and managing high-risk pregnancy factors
  4. Active management of third stage of labour
  5. Use of uterotonics to prevent and treat Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH)
  6. Protocols for use of Misoprostol tablets, Uterine Balloon Tamponade (UBT),
    Non-Pneumatic Anti-Shock Garment (NASG) and Compression techniques
  7. Warning signs, side-effects and follow-up protocol
  8. Use of Short and Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) methods
  9. Prevention of infectious diseases

  1. Social determinants of health
  2. Client-centered counseling techniques
  3. Overcoming socio-economic constraints
  4. Raising awareness on Family Planning and PPH prevention
  5. Addressing healthcare access delays
