Curriculum Design
Our training programs are designed with culturally relevant pictorial tools, client-centered counseling techniques and clinical checklists in local languages for skilled birth attendants and health workers to effectively use in rural, remote and low-resource communities.
Our clinical modules cover the following key components:
- Types and causes of Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH)
- Use of Family and Postpartum Family Planning (PPFP)
- Provision of antenatal care and managing high-risk pregnancy factors
- Active management of third stage of labour
- Use of uterotonics to prevent and treat Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH)
- Protocols for use of Misoprostol tablets, Uterine Balloon Tamponade (UBT),
Non-Pneumatic Anti-Shock Garment (NASG) and Compression techniques - Warning signs, side-effects and follow-up protocol
- Use of Short and Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) methods
- Prevention of infectious diseases
